He was born on June 25, 1910 in the Town of Stiles, to the late Emil and Julia (Brouchard) Cherney.
He married the former Irene Clayton in Manitowoc on April 20, 1932.
Vincent was employed at Kingsbury Breweries where he was the Brewmaster. He was also employed by the Rahr Brewery from 1954 to 1964 in Green -Bay.
Survivors include his wife Irene; two daughters and one son-in-law, Juanita Wood, Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Betty and Bill Kretsch, Manitowoc ; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clayton and Carol Cherney, Green Bay; Roger and Shirley Cherney; Little Sturgeon; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Katey Cherney, Green Bay; one sister and brother-in-law, Olive and Ray Jackson, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law, Viola Cherney, Manitowoc.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters and three brothers. He was also preceded by two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. Funeral at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Henry Dreistadt officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
