Leonard "Buster" Baham, Jr., died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was 75, a native and resident of Independence. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Independence, a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and previous owner of Buster's Furniture Co. of Amite.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn McElveen Baham, Independence; two daughters, Martha Buchanan and husband Mark, Baton Rouge, and Rebecca Fabre and husband Jody, Reserve; granddaughter, Colleen Elizabeth Fabre; sister, Juanita Bratton, Clinton, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Baham Sr. and Mary E. Baham; three sisters, Winnie Ard, Gladys Barnett and Doris White; and a brother, Cleo "Clyde" Baham.
