Iva Grissom, 77, Grandin Resident Died
Iva Grissom, 77, a resident of Grandin, passed away Monday, July 22nd at the Doniphan retirement home. She was a lifelong resident of Carter County.
Born Dec. 22, 1896, she married Jasper Byrd in 1916, and later in 1933 married Earl Grissom who died in 1968. She was a member of the Grandin Congregational Church. She leaves one son, Jack Byrd of Grandin, and a brother, Deb Rongey of Ellsinore; two grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Jordan of Poplar Bluff.
Rev. Clarence Crook conducted the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24th at Edwards Chapel in Doniphan, with burial in Doniphan Cemetery.
