Effie Dean Miller Lea died on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Kentwood Manor Nursing Home in Kentwood. She was 93, a native of Osyka, Miss., and a resident of Kentwood.

Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Joey Miller. Interment in Line Creek Cemetery, Line Creek.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Lea Gill and husband Edgar Ray Gill of Line Creek; son, Roy Glenn Lea Sr. and wife Carol Seifert Lea of New Ulm, Texas; three grandchildren, Glenda Joyce Lea Tyner and husband John Michael Tyner, Roy Glenn Lea Jr. and wife Shelly Rogers Lea, and Richard Lea Colvin; five great-grandchildren, Maegan Nicole Tyner, Michael Andrew Tyner, Roy Glenn Lea III, Lacy Marie Lea and Torrie Brooke Colvin; and a sister, Juanita Miler Murphy of Prairieville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Morris Lea; parents, Eddie and Effie Dean Hilbun Miller; brothers and sisters, Fleet Nelson Miller, Eunice Miller Temple, Estes Eddie Miller, Catherine Miller Simmons, Tilford Wesley Miller, Dorothy Miller Roberts, Marjorie Miller Addison, Mary Alice Miller Schwartz and Glenn Miller.

She was a member of Ira Chapter 84, Order of the Eastern Star since February 1960.
