Barbara Ann Jean Marie Black Andrews was born November 7, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia to Calvin Dale Black and Betty Jean Wilson.
Her father was in the army for 20 years so she lived in Georgia and Germany, before the family moved to Salmon in 1966.
She has three brothers, Calvin, Gary and Jerry and two sisters Peggy and Darlene. The first four children were all just about a year apart and then five years later- Darlene joined the family followed by Jerry six years later. Andrews was always a hard worker at home helping care for the younger siblings.
Her mother said that she loved to go camping with her father and fishing on the Pahsimeroi . She also loved to go to her grandpa and grandma's house in Challis and especially loved her grandma Rose.
She worked at the A&W Root Beer stand in high school and she graduated from Salmon High School in 1973. She married Tim Cox later that same year. He was in the Navy and so they traveled a lot. They were married for 19 years and have three children Fred, Chris and Heather but were later divorced.
She moved back to Salmon in 1991 and in 1993 she married Larry Andrews and they were married 21 years before he passed away in 2015. He had two sons James and Justin Andrews.
She was a caregiver and worked at Discovery Care Center and took care of Mary that lived up Spring Creek for three years. After she retired she started sewing fleece and flannel blankets and loved to give them as gifts. Andrews was stern at times and very strong willed but she had a kind heart and loved her family but her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
In the past few years, Andrews had many health problems but tried to stay positive. She passed away in EIRMC hospital in Idaho Falls on April 2 after complications from a surgery the day before.
