Visitation for James McCullin will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Saturday, April 06, 2019 at Owens Memorial Chapel. Private graveside services will be under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

On Friday April 5, 2019, James Gordon McCullin left behind the pain and suffering of a debilitating illness and went to join his mother, Eleanor Mable, and father, JL McCullin, in heaven with his Lord and Savior. He left behind his wife of 56 years, Tonie “Jody” Slaton McCullin; daughters, Jamie McCullin Futch, married to Todd Futch, and Jeannie McCullin Reynolds, married to Kevin Reynolds; his brother Bobby McCullin and his pride and joy, his grandchildren, James “Jake’ Reynolds and Amelia Reynolds.

James never met a stranger. His love of people was seen in his smile. James enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother and close friends, traveling with his daughters and grandchildren, and visiting with his neighbors. James Gordon was always eager to lend a hand or sit and talk a spell. James will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

A special thanks to the sitter, Shaun Potts and to the hospice nurses, Tameka Hollis and Joyce Harrington who gave him comfort and compassion during this difficult time.
