Doris Krebsbach, 70, Max, died Feb. 2, 2001, in the Garrison hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Garrison, with the Rev. Hugo Blotsky officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison. A rosary and vigil will be held at 7 p.m. at the church.

Doris Ilene Baker was born April 20, 1930, near Coleharbor, the daughter of Henry and Alice (Tower) Baker. She was raised and educated at Hancock School, rural Underwood, and graduated as class salutatorian from Garrison High School in 1948. She taught rural school near Douglas before marrying Francis G. Krebsbach Dec. 28, 1948, in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Garrison.

Doris was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Max, taught CCD classes and served on the parish council and Altar Society. She currently served as president of the Max Senior Citizens and was a board member of the Garrison Heritage Park Foundation. She served as Snake Creek Township Clerk for many years. She enjoyed many things in life, not the least being quilting, baking, dancing and writing letters. She never missed a birthday, anniversary or sympathy card.

She is survived by her husband, Francis; six sons and daughters-in-law, David and Denise, and Arlan and Lisa, all of Minot, Dean and Connie, and John and Shelly, all of Garrison, and Tim and Denise, and Don and Sloan, all of Max; three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Tom Bennett, Minot, Peggy and Steve Wollmuth, Washburn, and Lynette and John Olson, Max; 20 grandchildren; three sisters, Sylvia Simonson, Port Orchard, Wash., Faye Stein, McClusky, and Betty Dunagan, Cheyenne, Wyo.; and three brothers, Robert, Midland, Mich., Terry, Dallas, and Roger, Rochester, Minn.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Darrow; and two infant granddaughter.
