Ada Ethel Bell, 88, of Bell Road, died at her home on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003. She was born May 7, 1915, in Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., the daughter of Herbert and Florence (Arksey) Miller. She attended schools in Ellenburg Depot. She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Athens, was Sunday School superintendent, sat on the Board of Civil Authority and was a justice of the peace, all in Grafton. She loved her family. She was very active in church affairs and the Community Christmas Tree, for which she purchased gifts for many years. She also belonged to the parent teachers group in Grafton. On Sept. 13, 1935, in Ellenburg Depot, she married Perley Bell. She is survived by five daughters, Patsy Ahrens, Luann Ward and Joan Wacker, all of Grafton, Susan Neathawk of Chester, and Nancy Perkins of Wardsboro; one sister, Naomi McNeil of Ellenburg, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Besides her husband, Mrs. Bell was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rebecca Ahrens.
