Mrs. Jones, 72, Dies At Home In Ellettsville
Mrs. Anna M. Jones, 72, died at 8:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Robinson, at Ellettsville. Mrs. Jones had been an invalid for several years.
According to tentative arrangements, the funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ellettsville Baptist Church. The Rev. William Mayfield, Ellettsville Christian Church pastor, will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones’ husband, John B. Jones, preceded her in death in 1942. She had been married previously to Robert W. Cowden, who died in 1919.
She was a member of the Ellettsville Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Robinson; and a brother Frank Delapp, of Ellettsville.
Other surviving relatives of Mrs. Jones are three step-sons, Charles Cowden, of Bloomington, and Marion Cowden and William Jones, of Ellettsville; three step-daughters, Mrs. Jessie Fyffe, of Bloomington, Mrs. Lora Dutton, of Arizona, and Mrs. Martha Litten, of California; and several step-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones was a life-long resident of Monroe County, except for a few years when she made her home in Indianapolis.
Further funeral plans, announced this morning, named the pallbearers and flower bearers. Pallbearers will be Bruce Delapp, Paul F. Delapp, Earl Dunning, James Delapp, John B. Jones, and Harold Delapp. The flower bearers will be Mesdames Jean Delapp, Mae Delapp, Monta Delapp, Leafy Crismore, Coleen Sison, and Wilma Jones. The body will be at the Hudson Funeral Home in Ellettsville between 7 p.m. today and the funeral tomorrow.
