William Charles (Dub) Nethery was born on April 6th, 1928 in Vernon, Texas.
He went home to be with the Lord on March 26th, 2019.
He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Pat. He is also survived by his children; daughters, Jan Nethery and Karen Alves, both of Weed, CA, Kim Nethery of Redding, CA, and Robbie Paul of Brookings, OR. Sons Joel Nethery of Redding, CA and Randy Nethery of Iuka, IL. 4 brothers, Glenn, Eddie, Dink and Dan all of Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a "real" cowboy as a young man, and worked on the WT Waggoner Ranch in Vernon, Texas as a ranch-hand. After he and his wife, Pat, were married in 1949, he began his career with PG & E and worked for them in Burney, CA for 33 years until his retirement in 1985. He was very involved in the First Baptist Church of Burney, CA, and was a Deacon there for many years. He enjoyed his family immensely and looked forward to many get-togethers with all of them, throughout the years. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with the family. The family spent many holidays and get-together's enjoying music.
He was a very loved, Husband, Dad, Papa, Uncle, Brother and Friend, and will be greatly missed.
A service with military honors will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019, at 12:30pm at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery Chapel at 11800 Gas Point Rd., Igo, CA 96047.
