Services for Pearlean Anderson Buckingham, 79, Alto, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Williams Chapel AME Church with Rev. H. C. Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery under direction of O. T. Allen & Son Funeral Home, Alto.

Mrs. Buckingham died September 9, 1997. She was born August 10, 1918, in DeBerry to the late Clyde and Ethel Turner Anderson. She lived in Alto most of her life and worked at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of Williams Chapel AME Church.

She was preceded in death by son, Clyde Buckingham, and twins, Jenny Lee and Ivory Lee Buckingham.

Survivors include her husband, Buster Buckingham; sons, Nathaniel Buckingham, Melvin Buckingham, Larry Buckingham and David Buckingham, all of Alto and James Buckingham of Douglass; daughters, Geneva Mitchell, Rose Buckingham, Jackie Brown and Mary Lee Griffin, all of Alto and Martha Lou Reagan of Jacksonville; brother, Mitchell Taylor of Dallas; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
