Steven Feinberg, 72, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home in Sugar Land on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.
He leaves behind long-time companion and friend Maxine Fisher, his son Corey Sheeley, cousin Stephen Robbins and his daughter Shelley and her wife Frances, friend Pam Wright, and his neighbors & close friends Maurice Guerrero and Leticia Montoya (Steven was honored to be considered “Letty’s” grandfather).
Born in Bay City, Texas, Steven would graduate from the University of Texas-Austin in 1969 with a degree in Advertising. Not long after that, in Lafayette LA, he worked in marketing at a radio station and then as a writer for children’s TV. Later, in Houston, he did public relations for the Ribnick company followed by a ten year employment at Telesystems Telemarketing.
Steve’s passions included photography, as is documented by his many years of work with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston for whom he shot archival photographs of their productions. He also greatly enjoyed computer graphics but perhaps most dear to him was singing and playing the songs of the Beatles on his guitar. His stockpile of their recordings, videos, books and collectibles was far more than a hobby to him. On another note, Steven would frequently elevate the art of the wisecrack and the clever quip to great heights.
With never an evil bone in his body, Steven’s loyalty, consideration, generosity and compassion for those close to him was one of his endearing qualities.
