He was born Jan. 1, 1950, in Berwick, a son of the late Austin F. and Kathryn (McKamey) Sitler.
He graduated from Berwick High School in 1969. Austin worked at Wise Potato Chip for several years. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the Berwick Elks Lodge # 1138. Austin enjoyed all sports.
Austin is survived by his wife, the former Carol F. Bednarski; two stepdaughters: Sandy and Shelly; several step-grandchildren; and a step-great-granddaughter; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
