Polly Adams was born on December 11, 1793, in Limerick, Maine, her father, Thomas, was 21, and her mother, Mary, was 25. She had four sons and two daughters with Thomas Foster between 1812 and 1833. Polly in 1860 shared a house with her son Charles Adam Foster. Her neighbor according the 1860 Census was her other son Arthur Foster and Jane Winn Foster with their children. These include Elizabeth, Daniel and Francis. When Charlie Foster moved to Silveyville 1864 according to a voter registration. I believe that Polly moved their as well. Then afterwards Charlie married his brother's wife Jane Winn Foster after his brother died on 13 September, 1865. Polly died in 1868 in Dixon, Solano, California, having lived a long life of 75 years. Polly daughters Mary and Olive Foster likely died during their childhood or at birth. There is no record of them after their long migration to Utah or California. I believe that Polly is buried in Silveyville Cementery. This cemetery was created when local farmer gave up a portion of land to create a cemetery for their families. This was the only cemetery for Silveyville. This is a common practice in all farming communities. Before the Township of Dixon was made, it was a close distance to Silveyville. However, when the railroad came through Dixon. Over night the Township of Silveyville moved to Dixon from the bar to its only church.
