Ola was born Feb. 18, 1916 as Ola Faye Cawthon. [Her parents, Chip and Lora Cawthon lived in the Childrens Home Community of Walton County, Florida at the time of her birth] She always hated the name Ola and strictly went by Faye. I am unsure of the date when her and my great grandfather got married but I can get at least the exact year tomorrow. I know it was sometime in the 1930s. Her first husband was my great grandfather and his name was William "Clifford" Mott 1915-1995. [They married 2 November 1933 in Laurel Hill, Okaloosa County, Florida according to their marriage certificate, and divorced Sept. 1958 in Escambia County, Florida] He is also buried in Clear Springs Community Cemetery along with a lot of his family. They had 6 children. Again, I am unsure of the birthdates of all of the children but will let you know. William "Billy" Mott, Charles E. Mott, Harold Mott who died of pneumonia as an infant, Barbara Mott, Betty June Mott, and Debra Mott. I honestly can’t tell you all of her husbands as she had at least 5 in her 95 years but she was Ola Faye Pelletier when she died Feb. 27th 2011. When she died she had about 60 grandchildren which included great grandchildren and a few great, great, grandchildren. She was the last living child of Chip and Lora. She died in her home, on Park Avenue in Milton, FL. Her daughter Debi, her granddaughter Diane (Betty, my mother) and her granddaughter Carol took care of her in her home for several months before she passed of natural causes.
