FAIRWATER EX-TEACHER DIES AT 70

Mrs. Maude Wood Stellmacher, 70, of Fairwater, died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday at Waupun Memoria Hospital after a lingering illness.

Born in Brandon, July 19, 1900, she was the daughter of Uriah and Frances Hillman Wood. She was educated in Brandon Public Schools and attended the Green Lake County Normal School at Berlin.

She was a schoolteacher who lived in the Brandon and Fairwater area all her life.

She was married to Milton Stellmacher Sept. 24, 1927. She was a member of the Mary Martha Circle and United Fellowship Class of the Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon a past member of the Brandon Rebekah Lodge and the Philathea Class of the Brandon Methodist Church and a charter member of the Fairwater Study Club.

Mrs. Stellmacher is survived by her widower; one daughter, Mrs. Artin Bloch of Green Lake, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with the Rev. Homer Retzlaff officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Butzin Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
