Joan Marie (Hawn) Preston, a resident of Algonac, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Blue Waters Hospice Home in Marysville, Michagan, after a long illness.
She was born on February 27, 1939 and grew up on Old Piney Road in the Six Mile Community of Blount County, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Coleman Hawn and Icyle Laura (Quiett) Hawn.
Her husband of 39 years, Melvin Edward Preston, preceded her in death by only six months when he passed away on September 27, 2018 from injuries he received from a fall at their home.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Walter Berrier and Charles Alan Berrier, their father, her first husband, Harrison Berrier; one grandaughter, Jessica and her sister Doris Virginia "Ginger" Munsey.
Cremation arrangements were provided by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron, Michigan.
