BLOOMINGTON — Shirley Deckard, 70, of Bloomington, died Saturday, November 25, 2006, at Select Special Hospital in Bloomington. She was born January 6, 1936, in Monroe County, the daughter of Clifford and Dorothy (Archey) Bales. A homemaker, she was a day care provider in her home for numerous families in the Knightridge area for several years. She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Deckard of Bloomington; one daughter, Kimberly Deckard-Holmes and her husband, Gregory, of Mooresville, IN; one son, Daran Deckard of Bloomington; two granddaughters and their husbands, Stacey and Tim Isom and Sandra Jo and Tom Hacker, all of Bloomington; and one great-grandson, Connor Isom.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2006, at Allen Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Unity Cemetery in Brown County. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
