BRYSON CITY - Alfred Lindsay, 76, of the Wesser Creek community, community, died Friday at his home.
A native and lifelong resident of Swain County, he was a member of Silvermine Baptist Church and a retired retired farmer.
Surviving are a son, Jimmy Lindsay of Bryson City; three brothers, brothers, Frank Lindsay of Knoxville, Term., and Carrol and Gordon Lindsay of Bryson City; two sisters, Ruby Wright and Rebecca Totherow of Bryson City; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Nantahala Baptist Church. The Revs. Clint Grant and Jesse Grant will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body has been placed in the home by BUI Moody Funeral Home, where it will remain untU taken to the church 30 minutes before the services.
