DEBORAH LOUISE (DEBI) DEANS, age 68, went to her heavenly home on March 21, 2019 at her residence in Alvin. Debi was born in Corpus Christi, TX on August 19, 1950. She was a 1968 graduate of Alvin High School, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1971 from The University of North Texas. She began her teaching career in La Vernia, TX and then became an employee of Alvin ISD in 1973, where she remained until her retirement in 2014. She taught fourth, fifth and sixth grade at Alvin Elementary for many years. During her teaching career she also went back to school at University of Houston-Clear Lake where she received her Master’s Degree in 1991. She continued to share her love of teaching and became the Human Resource Instructional Specialist for Alvin ISD for future teachers from UHCL.She also was a longtime member of Alpha Delta Kappa.
Debi truly lived her life for children whether it was for her sons or all the children she taught over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Autie and Nora Foote.Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Blake Deans and wife Jennifer, Timothy Deans, sisters, Diana Wilson and husband William, Patty Humbird and husband Rodney, nieces, Shauna Hopkins, Krista Day and husband Jimmy, Rhonda Humbird, Kelli Humbird and nephew Steven Humbird.Her great nephew and nieces or as she called them her bonus grandkids Lane, Lexi, Hunter and KyLynn.Her longtime friend Cheryl Lewis and numerous other family and friends.
