Vancouver Man Killed In Crash

VANCOUVER, Wash. - (Special) - Archie Dixon, 64, 8802 N. W. 9th Street, injured in a two-car crash Friday at 6:15 p.m. near Cathlamet, died three hours later at Providence hospital, Portland.

The Multnomah county coroner's office at Portland said Dixon suffered head injuries in the crash.

Father Is Fatally Hurt

A former Centralia resident, Archie Dixon, 64, was fatally hurt last Friday evening near Cathlamet, succumbing several hours later in a Portland hospital. He was hurt in a traffic accident.

The deceased moved from Centralia, where he was employed by the Northern Pacific railway, in Vancouver some 12 years ago. He was an employe of the Seattle-Portland-Spokane railway at the time of his death.

Surviving are the wife of the deceased; two daughters; Mrs. Frances Engler, Centralia, and Miss Charlotte Dixon, Vancouver; and three sons, George and Donald Dixon, Vancouver, and Elwood, in Seattle.

Funeral services will be Wednesday morning in Vancouver.
