Survived by wife Constance (Jackie Byrd) Akers, son Jimmy Akers (Teresa), stepson Keith Byrd (Beverly), grandsons Anthony Gee, Lewis, and granddaughters Amy Gee (Christopher), Sherry-Mae, Amanda, Lori, Kim and Leah and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
