God called Martha DeVries, 92, home on Feb. 23, 2019. Martha lived in Roberts, Montana, at the family Ranch until her wonderful husband Ed passed away in 1974. In 1976, she moved into Billings where she has lived for the past 42 years. Martha worked at Naturlizer Shoes in Billings for 20 years, retiring at the age of 72.
Although Billings may have been Martha’s home, her heart was always on the Ranch in Roberts. Martha was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many.
Martha has now joined her husband Edward; her parents, Nestor and Jennie Long; son, Ken DeVries; daughter-in-law, Judi DeVries; mother and father-in-law, Frank and Florence DeVries; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eric and Bernice Long; Matt and Fannie Long; sister and brother-in-law Mary and Woodie Gibson. Along with her own family, Martha joins her in-laws, Carl and Irene DeVries, Babe and Toots Adams; Cliff and Nancy Lukenbach, James and Bunch Cook, Bob DeVries, John Hughes and Betty Long.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Roberts United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the Roberts Cemetery.
