In 1934, she received a B.A. degree from Baylor University where she was a member of Alpha Omega Club and the French Club. She married J. Harry Jeanes on December 2, 1948.

Anna worked at Scott and White Hospital as a medical technician for many years and was attendance secretary at Waco High. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church serving as an Elder and as President of Women of the Church. She was named a Life Member of Women of the Church.
