He died while serving in WW I on the U.S.S. Huntington in port off Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He appears age 35 on the 16 Mar 1920 census as sailor/storekeeper on board ship. His remains were returned to Ardmore for burial. Cause of death has not been determined.
His parents were William Harrison Jackson (b 3 Mar 1852 Rhea Co. TN, d 15 Sep 1939 Rockwood, Roane Co. TN, buried Crossville Cem., Crossville, Cumberland Co. TN) and Annie Donovan (b Oct 1861 Chickasaw Nation, Ind. Terr., 1/2 Chickasaw Indian; death date unknown), who married 5 Sept 1874 in Indian Terr. Crudip William Jackson and his parents and siblings are on 1900 census Chickasaw Nation, Pontotoc Co., Ind. Terr (T2N, R7E, ED 121, Pg 3B, #22-22, lines 27-40) whereon his father is the principal of the Collins Institute.
Siblings were: Viola Lillian b Feb 1877 d 1963 Tishomingo, OK (md Hindman Harrison Burris Sr, full blood Chickasaw), Lizzie W. b Jun 1880; Zenobia b Apr 1884, Thomas P b May 1886, Wm. B b Aug 1888, Cleopatra J b Jan 1890, Wynona W b Jan 1892, & Othello Donovan b Aug 1895.
