Florence was born one of eight children on September 30, 1926 in East Saint Louis, Illinois to Earl and Alpha (McCabe) Kittle. She later moved to Des Moines, Iowa and attended East High School. Florence met the love of her life, Bill, and they began their life together and were inseparable. Family meant everything to Florence and she took great pride in taking care of her home and family. She dedicated everything to them.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Davis, three grandchildren: Robyne Clement, Jolena Luloff and Brian Luloff, and nine great-grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, best friend, and love of her life, William “Bill” Johnson and her daughters, Sue and Judy.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, also at Hamilton’s, and will conclude with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
