Survived by loving wife of 47 years, Nancy (Ohler) Yatsky, whom he married June 19, 1971; son, George C. Jr., married to Amy (Killian) Yatsky; beloved grandson, Trent; all of Mechanicsburg; sister, Elizabeth “Sue” Yatsky; brothers, Francis D., “Yocko,” married to Karen (Killinger); Harry P., married to Susan (Killinger), all of South Fork; John T., married to Dr. Susan (Goldblatt), Pottstown; Michael, married to Lori (Penrod), and Mark S. Yatsky, all of South Fork; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Member of Saints Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Dunlo. Retired United Steel worker and truck driver for M. Glosser & Sons, Inc. Lifetime member of Adams Township Volunteer Fire Company - Station 82, Dunlo; member of Cambria County Firemen’s Association; and Sons of the American Legion, Post 653, South Fork. Geeg was an avid outdoorsman. He cherished time spent fishing and hunting with his sons and friends and especially enjoyed camping with family at “Barben Camp” in Newton Hamilton, Mifflin County. Listening to his grandson Trent play guitar and sing his favorite songs always brought a smile to his face.
Parastas will be sung at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday followed by visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Brief service at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Saints Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. Committal, Saints Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Dunlo.
