Saul R. Arredondo, 45, of San Tan Valley, AZ, formerly of Galesburg, died at 11:24 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Chandler Regional Medical Center, Chandler, AZ.

Saul was born November 15, 1973 in Galesburg, the son of Abelardo and Guadalupe (Interial) Arredondo. Saul is survived by his mother, Guadalupe of Galesburg; one son, Antonio Arredondo of San Tan Valley, AZ; two sisters, Norma (Patricio) Rodriguez and Sylvia Arredondo both of Galesburg; one niece, Micaela Rodriguez; and one nephew, Terron Miles. Saul is also survived by his girlfriend, Christina Encinas of San Tan Valley, AZ and her children, Serena and Daniel; a step daughter, Felicia Hobbs of Wataga; and his best friend who was like a brother, Marcus Wooldridge of Galesburg; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Saul was preceded in death by his father, Abelardo on February 23, 2019.

Saul graduated from Galesburg High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University. Saul was an extremely talented engineer and has spent the past 5 years working at Maxx Spa’s in Arizona. He could fix or repair anything. Saul was also an avid collector of Hot Wheels. He was a die hard Chicago Sports fan, especially the Bears and the Cubs. Family was important to Saul and will be remembered as a jokester. He was also a longtime avid videogame player.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Pastor Glen Bocox will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
