PINE GROVE — Karen Ann (Tracy) Greathouse, 56, of Reader, WV, died on Monday, February 16, 2009, at Ohio Valley Medical Center, in Wheeling, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born in New Martinsville, on June 7, 1952, to Virginia Dare (Headley) and the late William "Stub" Tracy.
She retired from Dominion Transmission in August of 2007 after 30 years of service.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Willa Larrimore and Tammy Headley Barnes; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Greathouse Coberly; a brother-in-law, Abe Kirk; and a sister-in-law, Joann Stackpole.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry; daughter, Tera Greathouse; three wonderful grandchildren, Klara, G. and Willa; three sisters, Linda Kirk, Susie (Steve) Grimm and Shawn (Jim) Coen; a brother, Greg (Holly) Headley and their three children, Justin, Hannah and Haiden; a special niece, Jessica Wright; a stepson, Jerry (Donna) Greathouse and their children, Jerry and Tosha; a niece, Sonna (Rod) Corder and their children and a nephew, Fred (Wendy) Stackpole and their children.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 - 9 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove, WV, where services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at 1 p.m. with Ron Acord officiating. Interment at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Hastings, WV.
