He was born in Wellman, Iowa, Oct 14, 1886, and married Sarah Byler on Sept. 22, 1917. She died in September 1971.
Surviving are a daughter. Miss Betty Miner of Chicago.
He was a graduate of Goshen College and the Chicago Theological Seminary.
He was a pastor for Mennonite churches in Iowa and Ohio and later for the Congregational Church in Brewer, Maine. Active in the Temperance League of Illinois he helped form their "Prisoner at Bar" program. He also authored two books, "The New Minister" and "Yesteryear Memories".
