GEORGIA -- Myrtle Louise Byers Gardner, 86, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 in Dublin, Georgia.

Born July 11, 1923 in Tennessee, she retired from PolySar, where she worked for 33 years and was a member of the Moose Chapter #61 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her parents, the late Clarence Ernest and Mary Elizabeth Myers DeLong and her husband, William H. Gardner, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Tom DeLong and Glenn DeLong; sister, Violet Krumroy and stepsister, Mugsie Trausch. Myrtle is survived by her son, Glenn (Beverly) Eagon of Wooster, Ohio; daughter, Patricia A. (Harry) Haag of Dublin, Ga.; grandchildren, Ruby (Darren) Bryan of Dublin, Ga., Alice (Larry) Dees of Dublin, Ga., Kim (Ben) Gay of Rocky (Sterling Hill) Phoenix City, Ala., Harry (Jeannie) Haag of Rentz, Ga., Pam (Joe) Magyar of Wooster, Ohio, Glenn (Melanie) Eagon of Wooster, Ohio, James Eagon of Michigan; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and two special friends, Dessel Starcher of Barberton, Ohio and Pat Marks of Akron, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, with Darren Bryan officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours Saturday, 10 a.m. until time the service.
