Henry L. Begay, 74, of Flagstaff, AZ passed away on March 2, 2019. He was born February 2, 1945 in Indian Wells, AZ.

Mr. Begay worked his entire career with Flagstaff Unified School District as a Counselor. Over a 30 year span in this role he had the honor of meeting and working with many students who touched his life and heart.

Prior to this career he was a member of the Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division who served during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969.

Mr. Begay will be remembered for his dedication and commitment to the education of the students in Flagstaff.

Henry is survived by his wife Lorraine J. Begay of Flagstaff, and his two daughters, Erika Begay, Tohaali, NM and Roxanne Begay-Shupla, Flagstaff. In addition he leaves three grandchildren, Kiera J. Charley, Ciera E. Charley and Jeryn E. Charley.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at San Francisco De Asis Catholic Church with a viewing at 9:30 services to follow. Burial with military honors will take place at Citizens Cemetery following the service.
