Virginia Harned, 84, Cayce Street, died at 8:07 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Covington’s Convalescent Center following a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert D. Lawrence officiating.

Burial will be in Tabernacle Cemetery in Todd County.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until time for the service at the funeral home.

A native of Todd County, she was born Jan. 17, 1925, the daughter of the late Henry and Annie Mae Hightower Jones.

She had retired following 22 years with International Shoe and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Harned; a son, Ronald Dale Harned, Waverly, Tenn.; three brothers, Clarence, Selton and Kenneth Jones, all of Hopkinsville; two sisters, Thelma ash and Imogene Jones, both of Hopkinsville, and two granddaughters.
