HALL, Sr. Delbert H.; 89, of Mechanicsville, was reunited with his sweetheart in heaven on March 6, 2019. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Carlyn Henshaw Hall; his parents, Howard and Florence Hall; and two brothers, H. Tracy Hall and Donald Hall. Delbert is survived by his loving children, Delbert H. Hall Jr., Robert W. Hall, Bonnie Hart (John), Denise Calton (Bob), Elaine Pence (Phillip), David Hall, and Justin Hall (Lauren); 31 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Hall, Wendell Hall (Merrill); and an abundance of extended family and friends. Delbert proudly served in the US Army in Korea, as a General's stenographer. He retired from the Air National Guard as a Lieutenant-Colonel after 26 years of service. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from J. Sergeant Reynold's Community College with a degree in computer programming. Delbert was a stalwart member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in multiple capacities, including the 1st Bishop of the Chickahominy Ward. He and his wife served a full-time mission in the Texas, Houston East Mission for the Church. A Memorial Service will be held, 10 am, Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints, 8005 Atlee Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Interment with military honors will be held that afternoon at 3 pm, at Green Hill Cemetery, 10th Street, Buena Vista, VA 24416.
