John L. Liberty, 62, of Wheelock, died on March 13, 2019 at The Pine’s in Lyndonville, Vt., surrounded by family.

John was born on Sept. 10, 1956 in St. Johnsbury, Vt. the son of C. James, Sr. and Beatrice (Williams) Liberty. He graduated from Lyndon Institute with the Class of 1975, worked at Mardon Industries and later retired from Montgomery Wire.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing, car shows, photography, cruising around the Kingdom, 4-wheeler rides, Chevy products, western movies, and rides over Stannard Mtn, working outside mowing and landscaping, detailing cars, campfires and dogs. Spending time at the family camp was very special to John.

John is survived by his nephews and his niece; his sister-in-law and his brother-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Peter T. and C. James Jr. (2018) and his sister, Nancy Jean Kidnocker.

Interment at the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Lyndonville.
