Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island with The Rev. Marty Egging officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bernice was born Aug. 10, 1930, to Bernard and Julia (Teahon) Franssen at Anselmo. She graduated from Brady High School in 1948. She married Orin Beeder on Oct. 30, 1951, at McCook. Orin preceded her in death in 1989.
Bernice worked in numerous cafés and the VA Hospital for 20 years in which she received various awards. She was a foster grandmother through CHI Health St. Francis day care.
She is survived by her sons, Terry (Nancy), Guy (Chris), Dexter, Lionel; daughters, Debra (Jim), Stacey (Dan); 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three foster children, Jack Franssen, Paul, and Torchy Aluspaugh; special friend, Doris Baker; family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother and sister-in-law, Bernie and Mary Lou Franssen.
