Willie Abbott Dies after long Illness
Willie H. Abbott, 67, or Henrietta, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 2:35 p.m. at the Ray County Memorial hospital. He had been ill for several months.
Mr. Abbott was born Jan 6, 1897, near Henrietta, the son of Richard Abbott and Eliza Narron of Johnson County. He had lived his entire lifetime in the Henrietta community and was a retired farmer.
He was married June 22, 1918 to Mable Teegarden of Lawson and she survives, at the home.
Preceding Mr. Abbott in death were one daughter and a brother.
Memorial services will be held today at the Henrietta Baptist church where Mr. Abbot held membership. Interment will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
Mr. Abbott was a member of the Richmond chapter of the IOOF lodge, the Henrietta Lions club, a veteran of World War 1 and a former member of the Henrietta school board.
