Born September 21, 1939, to parents Frank B. (Mark Twain Diner) and Ann C. (Sielicki) Soldate in West Hartford, CT.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years Josephine "Josie" L. (Schillaci) Soldate, and his pet babies Moki and Bambi.
He is survived by his twin brother Bernard "Bernie" J. Soldate and wife Susan Tigno of Simsbury, and his sister Elaine (Soldate) McNeely of Bloomfield, a sister-in-law Judy Johnson of Glassport PA and a brother-in-law Ralph Schillaci of Elizabeth PA.
"Dad" leaves behind four sons, Francis J. Soldate of Granville MA; Timothy J. Soldate and Kathleen Malone of East Hartland CT; Todd S. and wife Robin E. Soldate of East Hartland; and Dean A. Soldate and fiancé Tricia Dubois of East Hartland.
Grandpa had three grandsons, a granddaughter and two great grandsons.
While in high school in West Hartford, he and his family moved to Simsbury.
Frank was a lifelong boating enthusiast, a member of the Antique and Classic Boat Society "Bay State Woodies" chapter.
He was a successful private investigator.
A memorial service was held at Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, Granby.
Burial was in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
