Frank Storrs was born to Charles E. Storrs and Maria Van Noate in 1858 in Iowa. He came to North Muskegon with his family in 1883. He married Alice Almira Wolcott in 1886 and worked in his father's greenhouse business until his death in 1920. Oddly, his funeral was conducted by his distant cousin (by marriage), Rev. Archibald Hadden.
