The youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Z. G. Allen, says the Del Norte Prospector, died Tuesday morning of diphtheria and was buried at the Del Norte Cemetery Wednesday at 11 o'clock.

The baby's parents, Zachariah Gaines Allen and Harriet Elizabeth Shook were living in Del Norte in the 1870 Census with the following children: Alice (born in Iowa ca 1855-56), Florence (born in Nebraska 1858-59), Nettie (born in Colorado 1861-1862, and Rosa (born in Colorado 1867-1868). pwc
