Lonnie L. Loffer, Sr., 88 died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at Colonial Terrace Care Center in Pryor, Oklahoma. Loffer was born January 27, 1915, in Bruno, Arkansas, the son of William Daniel Loffer and Martha Damey (Adams) Loffer.

He was a liftime resident of the Pryor, Chouteau area. He was married to Audie Greenway in 1946 at Vinita. Loffer served his country in five major battles, and was awarded the Silver Service Star. He served as a military lifeguard and worked with communications in the service. He enjoyed ham radio operations and frequently talked to people on ships at sea. He also enjoyed CB radios and was called "Bargain Hunter" by his friends and truckers on Highway 69.

Funeral services were Monday, November 10, 2003 in the Shipman's Jim Green Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Robert Killman officiating.
