Ann L. Burdorf (nee Knappenberger), beloved wife of Roger G. Burdorf for almost 64 years, passed away on February 27, 2019 at the age of 85. Devoted mother of sons Michael Burdorf, who preceded her, Scott (the late Judy) Burdorf and daughter Lynn (Keith) Smarr. Ann is survived by her dear brother John (Joyce) Knappenberger, her nieces Lori (Paul) Allen and Vicki (Bill) Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Christine (Patrick) Thomas, Catherine (Alex) Burdorf-Cochran, Kleve (Pam) Smarr, Emily Smarr and Kasey Smarr. Born and raised in Ohio, Ann graduated from Walnut Hills High School and Ohio University where she received her Master’s Degree in Teaching. She retired from Indian Hill Schools where she taught Speech & Hearing. Ann adored her sorority sisters of Alpha Xi Delta. Ann and her husband, Roger, devoted their lives to the local flying community and were active with the Flying Neutrons and the Greater Cincinnati Airmen's Club of Lunken Airport. Visitation will be held on March 5, 2019 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 am, all at Twin Lakes Senior Living Community, 9840 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery. Funeral services are provided by Mihovk Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd., Evendale. Interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
