John H. Dycus

Raymond Garden Apartments, died late Tuesday at Veterans Hospital after an extended illness.

Mr. Dycus was a longtime employee of the Railway Express Company, and following his retirement in 1955 operated the Dycus Magazine Agency.

He was a native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and had lived in Jackson since 1921. He was a Veteran of World War I and member of the Hovicus Grayson Post of the American Legion. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mildred McDonald Dycus. of Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Lewrence C. Gray, of Rockville, Md.; a granddaughter, Miss Ann Gray, of Rockville; a brother, W. J. Dycus, of EI Dorado. Ark.; and a sister, Mrs. E. E. Trout, of Newbern, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday in the Wright & Ferguson Chapel with Dr. G. Roland Sims, pastor of Central Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
