Eric Brown, 39, of Tulsa, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, in Tulsa. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Charles Duhon, of Tulsa, officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Born June 4, 1967, in McAlester, he was the son of Roland P. Brown and Carol (Cole) Brown. He graduated in 1985 with honors from Eisenhower High School in Lawton. He graduated in 1990 from Cameron University in Lawton with a bachelors degree in chemistry and physics. In 1998 he graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman with a masters degree in chemistry. He was a member of the Phi Lambda Epsilon Chemical Society, Sigma Pi Sigma National Physics Honorary Society, and Phi Mu Epsilon for superior achievement in the field of mathematics. He was also a member of the OU Alumni Association. He was a member of St. Dunstens Episcopal Church in Tulsa where he sang in the choir and was a lay reader. Survivors include his mother, Carol Cole Brown, of Tulsa; his father, Roland P. Brown, Andalusia, Ala.; one sister, Stacy Gael Brown, Vicenza, Italy. Also, a niece, Michela Evelina Decker, Vicenza, Italy; aunts, Mary Linda Smith, of Krebs, and Anita Hopkins, of McAlester, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Geraldine Cole and paternal grandparents, Elwyn and Sue Brown.
