Longtime Midland Beach resident Christine Ann Seton, 62, a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and helping those in need, died Monday at home. Born Christine Ann Nielsen in Manhattan, she moved to Midland Beach in 1954. A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with family and baby-sitting her grandchildren. She enjoyed making grave blankets for family and friends during the Christmas season, and spending time at her home in upstate New York. She also enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings, cooking, gardening and doing projects around the house. She also enjoyed hosting pool parties in her backyard for family and friends. She was a "loving and considerate person and a mother to all," said her family.
Mrs. Seton was a past member of the Midland Beach Democratic Association; the Mother's Guild at St. Margaret Mary R.C. Church in Midland Beach, where she was a parishioner, and a former Cub Scout den mother. Her husband of 21 years, Philip, died in 1993.
