Leland Charles, child of Carl C. Frank and Anna M. Bauer Frank, was born at Chester, Nebr., Sept. 18, 1926. In early infancy he was received into Christ's kingdom by the Rite of Holy Baptism in St. John Lutheran Church at Chester, and 13 1/2 years later renewed his baptismal vow by the Rite of Confirmation in the same congregation.

He spent his early years in Chester, attending the public school, St. John Parochial School and the Chester High School. After his graduation from high school he attended Concordia Teachers College at Seward, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1952. He taught schools in Nebraska and Minnesota before entering the retailing business, and at the time of his death operated the Skogmos Store in Clarion, Iowa.

He was united in holy matrimony with Marie Poppe on August 6, 1950 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. For the past eight years they have made their home in Clarion.

Lee was an active member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, where he held various offices, and at the time of his death was serving as senior elder. He was a regular attendant in the Lord's House and also at the Lord's table. His presence will be solely missed by his Pastor and the members of Mount Calvary. He was also a member of the Clarion Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Frank suffered an injury several weeks ago at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and was recovering at his home following hospitalization. Last Saturday he returned to the Clarion Community Hospital for medical attention and various tests where he departed his life on Sunday morning, having reached the age of 45 years, 7 months and 5 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Lawrence.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Marie; two brothers, LaVere and Marvin of Wichita, Ks.; two sisters-in-law; a number of nieces and nephews, in addition to other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, conducted by Pastor O.E. Weiss, Eagle Grove, Iowa. Graveside services were held on Wed., April 26th, 2:00 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Chester, Nebr
