Mr. Bennett was a retired coal miner and a lifetime resident of Wise County.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby J. Bennett & a grandson, Bobby J. Bennett, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Lillian James Bennett, daughters, Catherine Hamm & Dorothy Roberts both of Coeburn, Della Roberts, Wise; daughters & sons-in-law, Helen & John Markham & Linda & James Jones both of Coeburn; a son, Edward Bennett, Whittier, CA; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nephews & several nieces.
Funeral services for Hardaway Bennett will be held Saturday, December 28, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Hall & Rev. Leon Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn.
