A funeral for Mildred M. Odegaard of Northeast Portland will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Zeller Chapel of the Roses. Private interment will be in Rose City Cemetery .
Mrs. Odegaard died of kidney failure Sunday in a Portland care center. She was 78.
She was born April 20, 1912, in Nevada, Mo., and had lived in the Portland area since 1943. Her maiden name was Tannehill. Mrs. Odegaard worked for Kendell and Dehan Knitting Mills and for Oregon Drapery Co. for more than 15 years until her retirement in 1975.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Halloran of Portland; brother, Lester Tannehill of Coos Bay; sisters, Bessie Wodtke of Creswell and Lurella Clark of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one grandson. Her husband, Alvin Odegaard, died in 1987.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to respite programs at Good Samaritan Hospital & Medical Center.
