Retired in 1991 as President and CEO of Norcal Waste System, the combination of Sunset Scavenger and Golden Gate Disposal. He spent 46 years in the profession. He immigrated to the United States at age 13 and served in the military during World War II. His proud achievement was the merging of the 2 refuse companies in San Francisco and that the company remained 100% employee owned and operated.
