TRAYWICK, Velma Morris
SARDIS - Velma Morris Traywick of Sardis, a retired manager and seamstress for Riteway Laundry and Cleaners passed from this life on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at her residence. She was 74.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 16, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Sardis Church of Christ. Burial will be at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Moore-Nowell Funeral Home has charge.
Mrs. Traywick was born on May 10, 1932, in Tate County, to Florence Boling Morris and the late John Wallace Morris. She was the widow of Van C. Traywick.
She is survived by her mother, Florence Morris of Senatobia; two sons, Melvin and Charles Traywick, both of Pope; two daughters, Julia Baronowski of Batesville and Rachel Scruggs of Hernando; three sisters, Sylvia Norris of Millington, Tenn., Frances Parker of Nesbit and Betty Marsh of Hernando; six brothers, Wallace Morris of Pearl, J.L. Morris of Sulligent, Ala., Wayne Morris of Clinton, Doug Morris of Hernando, Lamar Morris of Pilot Mtn., N.C. and Randy Morris of Senatobia; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are David Baronowski, Cole Traywick, Brent Scruggs, Ryan Traywick, Tyler Scruggs, David Draper, Zachary Traywick and Clay Traywick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to the Sardis Church of Christ, Sardis Lake Christian Camp, or Panola County Cancer Relief Fund.
